Program Co-ordinator - Financial Services

Our Artarmon based client is a world leader in distance education and with an extensive choice of some 130 courses they have helped more than 700,000 Australians realise their earning and creative potential since they began operations back in 1921.

Due to a recent restructure and a refocusing of the organisation nationally, they are looking to bring on board an experienced Program Coordinator who will be charged with ensuring the academic quality of the suite of courses in the Financial Services program area. Additionally, the role covers the coordination of the initial development of each course, including liaising with the Product team through delivery to the review and evaluation. The Program Coordinator will also provide mentoring and tutoring support to students as required.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Provide tutoring for student queries of an academic nature which relate to courses in the program.
  • Provide assessment advice to the tutors.
  • Liaise with the Senior Tutor Coordinator to ensure tutoring standards are maintained
  • Liaise with other staff to ensure corporate best practice and consistency, as appropriate and in collaboration with the Head of Academic and Academic Manager.
  • Develop and maintain Learning and Assessment Strategy for each course.
  • Liaise with Product team to make necessary changes to course materials when required
  • Assist in the application for course registration with the regulatory body
  • Coordinate feedback process involving learners, workplace facilities and trainers and assessors for courses in the program.
  • Coordinate the validation and moderation processes for each course in the program.
  • Strictly adhere to organisational policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of course reviews by authors and tutors and student evaluation of courses
  • Incorporate approved feedback to assist in the improvement of the overall vocational education program and student support, and revision of course materials
  • Communicate and liaise with colleagues in other functional areas.

To be considered for this role applicants will need to be able to satisfy the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Services
  • Qualification in Financial Services (minimum Master level)
  • Demonstrated experience in educational institution or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in VET sector. (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Qualifications Framework (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework (Desirable)
  • Qualification in assessment at a minimum of Certificate IV level (Desirable)
