This local privately owned Quantity Surveying consultancy have a portfolio of projects encompassing education, health care, residential, industrial, commercial and retail projects. With a good mix of private and government clients they have a solid workbook of jobs they are currently working on or in the pipeline.

Because of this they are currently in the market for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Brisbane team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cost estimating from design phase
• Preparing BOQ's
• Calculating and costing all variations
• Quotes and monitoring cost of materials
• Liaising with sub contractors, builders and project & managers
• Ensuring cost effectiveness on construction works
• Implementing efficient cost management processes and procedures
• Attending meetings with the construction team
• Monitoring the calculation of timesheets, reviewing rates and visiting site to measure quantities
• Assistance with feasibilities as required

You will have:

• BSc construction Economics
• 4-6 years experience
• An excellent attitude to work
• Sound business acumen
• Strong communication skills
